It's been a much longer road than anticipated, and I think I'm at the half way point now. I "invested" in an airbrush (this Master set, found here on Amazon) and have most of the parts sprayed now.  I still need to gloss coat, decal (I got some water slides for this kit for about $11 here!) & panel line, matte coat and assemble. Here are som WIP pics, enjoy!

These parts were difficult to cut from the runners, sand and prime, but painting was a breeze. I hand brushed with Mr Color grey and Mr Color thinner. On the left is what the part looked like right after it was painted. In the middle pic you can see…

On the left is what the part looked like right after it was painted. In the middle pic you can see how the paint begins to level out after a few minutes. The final pic is after drying overnight. It levels out so much that the small detail lines pop back in!

I like the way the metallics came out. I hand brushed them, before I setup my airbrush.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to work on it more this weekend. I'm looking into gloss and matte coating for my airbrush, but I may use rattle cans since I already have some. Until next time, keep building!
