Update!
First, congratulations to Andrew Turner, the winner of the giveaway I held a couple weeks ago. Here he is with his sweet prize:
Thanks to everyone who entered! I had 154 entries from 9 different countries. I can't wait to see how Andrews kit turns out. The giveaway was a blast for me, and I'll definitley be doing another one sometime in the future.
Over the last couple weeks I've been pushing to get my Zaku II done. It is at the final stage, I only need to top coat it. I ran into some trouble when the mouth piece broke. Here it is fresh off the runner (the square piece on the front of the nose of the head)
Here it is, broken after being painted, cracking, stripped, glued, and painted again. When I stripped it the second time it fell apart.
I finished stripping it, sanded a little, glued it and added a piece of pla plate to get it back to its original form
As of now it's primed and holding up nicely. I used a lot of glue so I had to spend a lot of time filing and sanding it down so that it fit on the head. This ate up about 6 hours, not including letting the glue dry. It was a big set back but I learned from it and I'm more confident in my repair abilities now. Shout out to Tamiya cement! Glad that's done.
My next project is a bit of a secret but I can say it is 2 RX 78-2 Revives that I'm customizing. I'm taking plenty of pics along the way and I can't wait to show them off when they're done. I can't wait to see them myself when they're done! In the meantime I'll keep snapping up kits to post here, and I'm also participating in a Graze build off with the Texas Gundam Club that I'll post WIP pics of as I go.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, keep building!
